Car Problems
My car broke.
Had to be towed last night.
What is the deal with me and cars this year?!?!?
One of the belts broke, and I was lucky it happened when it did. Jason asked me if I wanted to eat in lenwood, so as I was driving out there my dash lights were turning on, so when I got there I was telling Jason what happened, and he said he'd look at it when we were done eating.
So we get done eating, and he said to drive to his house and he'd look at my car, so I turn my car on and my coolant light goes on, so I put some coolant in, and some power steering fluid (cause I knew I needed that), and we started driving. We decided to take the old road home instead of the freeway, and I'm glad we did.
We were driving and I noticed the air was getting way hot, so I look at my temp. gage and it was almost to the red. So I called Jason, we pulled over and he looked under the hood. Everything looked good, then he noticed a broken belt. So he calls the tow yard and asks for a tow. We waited, then Jerry showed up and towed my car to Jason's house.
In that sense, I am lucky. If we would have been on the freeway, it would have sucked, or if I was by myself driving somewhere, oh man. I probably would have freaked out.
So Jason's going to see how much belts are, and try to fix it tonight, if he can't then he said he'd call his friend Adam who owns a shop out here. I'm super grateful to have friends who know people.
So I'm without a car right now, but it's no biggie, not used to it, but things could be way worse.
I was hoping to go out to lenwood today to look for a job, but that will have to wait. What is a real bummer is I'm supposed to go to Vegas on Monday to see the boys, but I don't think that's going to happen.
I still haven't heard from CSU, so today I e-mailed my old boss, he hasn't e-mailed me back, and I really hope he does, to at least put my nerves at ease. I just asked about the hiring process and when they were planning on doing interviews. I keep hoping that I get this job, but in reality, I NEED to look for jobs down here.
I have until July I think to re-enroll in my Master's program at Redlands, so hopefully I hear back from CSU before then.
I'm off, I'm going to work on a job application for the community college down here that's due tomorrow. I just found the job today, I'm glad I found it before it was up.
