Why is finding a job such a pain in the ass ?

Of 1.2 million computer engineers / scientists employed in America
-350,000 are contract-to-contract meaning that they experience long terms of unemployment - boo.
-250,000 more are entrepreneurs with their own business

Oh wait, that's half of them - and I dont want to do either of those things.

Maybe that's why the "hottest" job of the 21st century so far seems so barren. The other 600,000 spots people are wrestling for can afford to require 5 years or 10 years experience because there are so many people fighting for them - including those friendly Indians that help you troubleshoot your Dell ("Hi this is Paul how can I help you" - uhhh yeah sure your name is Paul).

Well I got some more good leads but I'm sure they'll dry up like the rest.

At least I feel better after venting all of this via keyboard.
