The Washington State Department of Corrections has notified the Seattle Department of Public Safety of the following Level III Sex Offender advisory. Note: This male is not wanted at this time by law enforcement. He recently has made unscheduled visits to a nearby hospital. He is not to be on university property. If you see this individual on campus, contact Campus Public Safety from any campus emergency phone or call 296-5911. The male offender depicted in the photo supplied by the department of corrections is approximately 65 years of age and has an approximately 40 year history of sexually offending against female adults. This sex offender has been known to use the modus operandi described below:
He appears impeccably dressed, pretends to be a doctor or a lawyer and approaches women in hospitals or on university campuses. He tells a woman he needs help looking up a phone number because he has bad eyesight. He then leads the woman to a secluded area. While the woman looks up a phone number for him, he gets down on his knees and looks up her skirt. He does not have a history of violence, but has escalated to grabbing women to try to prevent them from leaving the area.
