Weeks review

Well last week was much harder than I expected however hard in a good way.

I'm really impressed with the quality of the course I'm on, often I find internal courses are delivered and then forgotten however due to the fact we have daily quizzes, teach back sessions and 2 final exams (one theory, one practical) I'm not going to walk away from this and forget it right away, however it's been a long time since I needed to study for tests etc. and commuting every day is getting tiring.

I'm hoping that the course will open up some new opportunities at work but I really need to get a top banding mark before I consider that.

To make a long week worse I was on-call at the weekend and got called out for 10 hours on Saturday which put a bit of a dent in my plans. However did manage to get in a good long walk yesterday (4 3/4 miles )and get my paper done for the course today.

As for my diet it's going ok, not as good as last year however with my longer commute I cannot get to the gym very often (not been yet) however trying to walk at lunchtimes and walk to the station at night and having my exercise bike is helping but still not burning as much as last year. I'm not complaining as I still lost 1kg this last week which is what I'm aiming for.

Other than work, course and diet the last week has been pretty uneventful and this one coming looks to be the same, however I am looking into booking a long weekend away to somewhere sunny in Feb so fingers crossed that happens.
