So, back to the original plan of a new laptop (see previous), I got a deal on a D-Link DNS-323 NAS box this week, and grabbed a Western Digital caviar green 1TB on sale to start off consolidating all the files I have on the myriad drives inside the PC, and on the external drive.

So far, so good. It has UPNP streaming built in, so the PS3 can find it (and it doesn't time out before finding all the music, like it did with other server software). I also mapped the drive to the PC and VAIO so they can easily access the files as well.
Now to see if this old UPS I have still works...
