The biggest change this year was my job ending a few months ago and going through the process of reassessing where I want to go from here. The fact that I'll turn forty this year is definitely a factor as well. Ideally, I'd like to combine web work with the game review writing I've been doing. I have a few people to follow up with in the next week or so, and have seen some job postings that look promising as well, so we'll see what happens work-wise in the next month or so.
I saw my family a lot this past year, visiting my nephews in Wisconsin and having my nieces visit us this past fall. Mom also came for a week during Christmas and we went up to Thunder Bay for Gord's Mom's 80th birthday. We also finally got a chance to visit friends in NYC, which was a short but good visit. The only "big" trip I did was getting to E3 in May, which I'm glad for, since it was the last one that will have the kind of scale and spectacle that it's traditionally had. I also worked on getting out in the city more, even if it's just to Cherry Beach with Julie. We saw some great shows this year with Mom, and made Wing Night a weekly tradition that has worked out nicely as a way to see people more often.
I guess the big priorities this year, besides finding work, are continuing to get the apartment de-cluttered and keep in better touch with family and friends, especially since a few more babies have recently arrived and more are on the way this year. I don't think there's much travel in the cards for this year, but no worries. I've also been thinking of getting my M license for a while, and it feels right to look into that this spring.
I guess that's it for now...
Here's hoping everyone has a great 2007!
