A cute little nerdy diction scenario.
Chosen scenario: You are a genius university science professor/researcher explaining to one of his students that what he/she is feeling for their fellow student is love.
They aren’t butterflies, you know. That is simply a hormonal response to the way you feel about her. You love her.
Love? It isn’t something I can explain logically in biochemical reactions. It’s sort of like… electron affinity. Something about her makes her attractive to you and you want to get closer to her. You want to… bond with her. She’s an alkali metal and you’re a halogen.
She makes your sinoatrial node fire faster, correct? You’re in love. Love can induce the release of noradrenaline into the bloodstream, thus increasing your heart rate.
Do you feel inexplicably happy around her? Yes, that is another symptom of love. Becoming suddenly inarticulate is another. You also have difficulties paying attention during my lectures because you’re staring at her. This is sufficient evidence to prove my original hypothesis. You’re in love.
Now please listen when I’m teaching astrophysics.
