It's odd to see how someone's musical tastes progress, especially so when examining one's own tastes.
Freshman year of high school, I must confess that I was into emo >.<;; *shame*, Nu-Metal, Grunge, Alternative Rock, Ska, a small amount of Punk and Christian Alternative.
Sophomore year, I dropped the emo, revved up the Nu-Metal even louder, got a bit into more classic rock, and then ditched CDs with "Explicit Lyrics" warnings.
Junior, I got the major Grunge hits, developed a taste for classical choral and metal with classically trained singers (e.g. Tarja Turunen-era Nightwish) and, over the summer, I got into prog-rock.
Senior year, I kept turning down the Nu-Metal, my Grunge Consumption grew more obscure, rejoiced with 104.9's return for its 90's Alternative Rock, lost interest in Christian Alternative (except Skillet, but that's not quite Christian Alt, I'd say), kept with the Ska (because Five Iron Frenzy Rules), developed more appreciation for classical choral, added some folksy-choral (not hippie-folk, but the real stuff), celtic music, and even a creepy video-game soundtrack was added to favorites.
Now, I find myself lovin' the '90s Swing Revival and touching the surface of Rockabilly.
Rasputin's Records is definitely an addicting influence upon me. Nothin' quite like buying CDs for under 3 bucks.
