I really hate my country

In recent days the parliament in Poland was discussing a civic project of law regarding artificial insemination, especially in vitro. It was proposed by a non-governmental organisation of people with fertility problems, and it presented ideas such as allowing every woman, including single ones, to be allowed to take this procedure, unlimited implantation of embryos, permission of freezing them, as well as state sponsorship of said methods.
The discussion in parliament was hell. Let's just say that one of the conservative parliamentarians accussed authors of the project of being murderers, as defrozen embryos have lower chances of successful implantation in the womb. Afterwards, the project was moved to the constitutional court. Here, it was claimed to be AGAINST current constitution, after a discussion lasting a whole... 15 minutes. What's more, NONE OF THE JUDGES HAS ACTUALLY READ THE PROJECT. Their judgement was based not on knowledge of law, but their personal whims.
What's more, recently polish catholic hierarchy started a process of improving their relations with russian orthodox church. It is an important issue, because during the between the wars period the orthodox church has been heavily persecuted by the government of Republic of Poland. For example, in the beginning of the 20th Century in Sosnowiec, my town, around half of citizens were orthodox, with a good percentage of evangelicans and lutherans, and catholics and jews being minorities. There were two large orthodox churches (one of the considered the most beautiful in Poland) and a chapelle, with only the last one lasting today and being the only orthodox sacred place in Silesia (a large region spanning half of southern Poland).
HOWEVER, there are many voices against bettering the relations with a church that has closest doctrine to catholic. For polish nationalists, it doesn't matter that polish and russian conservatives think alike and could help each other - what DOES matter is the fact that that they are POLISH conservatives, and the other RUSSIAN conservatives. A common idea is accusing the currently visiting head of russian orthodox church of being a KGB agent. It's absurd and disgusting. I wish I could start a dictatorship in my country and send all those idiots to camps, where they will be forced to learn empathy, logic and reason. :-(
