Czech it out,
That's it? No more holiday? :( So, it's back to work today after our adventures in Czechland and what a wikkid time we had.
So....
Wednesday we had booked off which meant a healthy dose of lie-in's and also some packing and organising. We stayed in bedland until about 3pm ish when we decided bacon and egg sarnies were the order of the day. After brekkie rivetmike and me started packing. By 9.00pm we were packed, showered, dressed and ready to go which was pretty good going except were weren't getting picked up until 4.00 am ... D'OH!
Cider, beer and chicken sarnies were the order of the day as was some internet perusing. Sadly Liss and Bern's Iggie Zac had died today so we partook of some beverages in memory before we left Sorry about Zac guys :( Bern is now putting his skeleton into a glass cabinet which should look really bloody spanky :)
4.00am game round pretty quick after watching some rubbish on sky and playing some PS2. We gots tucked into the Airport pretty quick and also in the pub where we spotted superman. Well, a guy dressed in a superman outfit anyway!
Boarded the plane quick-smart and rivetmike having leapt through boarding got us the front seats with plenty leg-room. Strange for me I didn't sleep on the outward journey and instead made good innings on my Geisha book. We spotted the snow around Prague before landing and I did a little sex wee. I love the snow me.
We got settled into the hotel and dumped our belongings ready to have a look-see and tire our selves out. We stopped at Donna's a nice pizzeria we go to every year where the boys had some pasta, and chel a fungi pizza. I started on the pilsner - the beer here is damn good. But boy if it don't do disruptions to the inner workings of ones bod.
We czeched out the black light theater and rivetmike picked up some leaflets fro Faust. We then headed back to the hotel for some kip before re-convening for dinner.
We got up around 5ish and convened with Matt, chel and Pam for dinner. We had a wander about and went into a pool-bar for some pre-dinner beverages whilst Mike and Matt had a few games of pool. More pilsner were consumed and us gals perused the prague book of resturaunts for possible eateries. We settled on an underground eaterie which we passed whilst walking where burger, goulasch, salmon and steaks were consumed mit plenty pilsner. We then went near wensenlas [sp!] square and into a rather wikkid cocktail bar where we had bols blue concoctions, strawberry daiquiri's and swamp waters and realised 4 shots of Jaegermeister would earn us a pair of Jaeger pants! We noted this and strived to return on the morrow!
Friday!
After sleeping off some of our hangovers and being woken by some rather noisy drilling and banging me and rivetmike got oursleves dressed and ready for a wander for some snacks. We walked to Tesco and Mike niftily noticed some cute black/red stripy hair clips which I 'yoink' bought and we looked for some tasty snacks. Prague is pretty good with its array of eating establishments. You can find pretty much every culinary choice. In the end we settled on a traditional bar for what we thought would be 'small' lunch. I had a cheese/steak toasted [read: Fuck off huge meal] and mike had a Beer Gulasch with plenty pilsner and mulled wine. It was really spanky.
The snow was sporadically coming down now and as we walked through wenseslas square with the fluffy snow, slightly pissed it was really pretty. We then walked to 'fat pretzel' bar for some more mulled wine and then onto Erra bar for even more! Luckily the hotel was within spitting distance and we said hello to Pam and then Mat and Chel before staggering to our room to get ready. I had a small girlie panic on what I was to wear [you know when the outfit you plan in your head looks crap in reality and you have to start from scratch again?] Luckily I had packed enough for a month so re-outfitting wasn't too troubling ;) We then convened in the lobby and headed for some food. Wandering about in the pretty snow with some snow-ball fights and settling on an American eatery. Now, me and Mike had eaten not long ago and were pretty stuffed but we thought we would pick something small. This was not really possible here. The portions were huge. In the end a chilli-cheese chip starter for me and Mike with a club sarnie for me and a burrito for chico. More beverages consumed :) Then we walked Pam back to the hotel and it was back out for some beverages. We headed straight to the cocktail bar and got my Jager pants :) WIN! And then onto an 'alternativer' bar for some Drum and Bass sounds before heading back to the hotel. On the way [slightly inebriatye4d] the boys had a snowball fight with some group of eight blokes. When they were too pissed for the snowballs to hit target Mike jumped on two blokes backs wrestling their blazered selves to the floor!!! They must have seen the pissed look in their eyes because they soon scarpered! We bought some beer and got merry in Mat and Chels room before staggering back at 5.00am bleary eyed.
SaturdaY!
We slept most of today missing brekkie and lunch. The call of BLACKJACK from Mat got chico up and the sound of feet running from room to room from the boys made me giggle. So up we got and looking for a casino to play in. The casino's required a passport to register so we decided to go back to the hotel after dinner. Picking up Pam first for foodage we left for the Louvre. We were all feeling the effects of the prvious night still so dinner was a blur although mighty tasty: Spagg cabonara and chicken was had with fruit salad and choco ice cream milk shake. NYOM! We then went back to hotel for passports and made to go to see Faust. Unfortunatly we missed it by 20 mins - we should have bought tickets first. Next year we'll knows better! So, then onto the Casino and Blackjack with plenty pilsner. Mike gave me some chips through the night to try my hand at Blackjack and roulette but my luck wasn't in :( I also managed to flash the casino although luckily I think no-one saw. I had on a zip top under a zip cardy. I *though* my cardy was still zipped up so in one quick un-zipping I unz-ipped it. Oh noes. That was my top. Oh noes there I goes flashing my self. *shame*
Sunday!
Left hotel after some furious packing and walked down st charles bridge. Holiday went so fast :(
Stopped in a little cafe for foodage: French onion soup mit cheese, goulasch + dumplings followed by apple strudel for me and Chico as well as mulled wine and pils :D We travelled homeward and had an early night.
Monday!
Spent mostly chillaxing with some red wine and sorting out the packing.
Today.
Miss the fluffy snow and pilsner already. Wish it was Friday morning again and we were back in the square walking in the snow. I wish I yoinked that blue blanket. I wish we were in Prague still. BOOOOO.
All in all THANK YOU to you guys for a wikkid weekend. I had a truly brilliant time.
This Friday rivetmike DJ's at Egg YAY! So will have our dancing shoes on fo sure :D
