✝ 002 ; open } { every day I wake up, pour myself a cup ...

It's still early in Chicago, but a few of it's ladies are out and about.

Buffy Summers is sitting on a bench in Grant Park, legs crossed under her with a cup of coffee curled in her hands. Her patrolling schedule has shifted a bit since she arrived in Chicago -- a little bit in the early evening, going back to the Kashtta to get some sleep, and then some more in the early morning. With monsters coming around all the time, if she wants to do what Slayers do, she needs to adjust to cope.

So as of now, she's just finished her morning patrol, and is taking a break with a cup of coffee before heading back to the tower to shower and get ready for work. For right now, though, she's just sitting in the still quiet of Grant Park, drinking her coffee and enjoying the moment.

Sophie Devereaux, on the other hand, is more of a tea girl. She's sitting in a cafe not too far from the park, sipping her cup while she waits for the person she's meeting to show. Maybe she's waiting for you. Maybe she isn't. Either way, you should drop by and say hello. She'll be very happy to see you.

The other pretty British thief of Chicago, Bela Talbot, is also having a cup of tea. Hers, however, is being had on the roof of the Kashtta. Things are starting to settle back into a sense of normalcy again, and she's grateful for that. She, however, hasn't been to sleep yet. She has been up all night working on a job, is tired, and is probably going to soothe herself back to sleep eventually, but for right now, she's just standing there, and enjoying watching the city wake up.

And unfortunately for Sara Ellis, she will not be enjoying her coffee today. She roused herself for a nice early morning jog, and once she has cooled down and caught her breath, she stops at a local coffee kart for a small cup of coffee. She still keeps walking as she does, just enjoying the feel of an early morning in Chicago, before the rest of the world has woken up yet.

That small cup of coffee drops to the ground, however, when Sara meets her first Chicago monster.

She's never seen anything like it. Big, tall, and growling, she's not even sure she could put it into words, but the fact of the matter is it's fixated on her, and would probably kill her if it caught her. It's probably a good idea that she not let that happen. This is Sara -- and this is Sara turning and running.

Someone please help her.
