"Hey babe--"
She stops, looking around. She was walking into her house, she was walking into her house which should have contained her husband, her dog and just about everything she owned.
Instead she's on a street.
"...What the hell?" She adjusts her bag, taking a few steps forward, looking more than a little confused. This isn't making any sense, in fact, this is about as far from sense as she could possibly determine.
After a few minutes of walking and a couple of awkward questions, she finds out she's in Chicago, which is definitely not New York and she has no idea what's going on. Unfortunately for her, she didn't wind up asking anyone who was willing to explain the Rift, just people who were rushing by, trying to move on with their lives and din[t want to bother with a random stranger.
She wanders over to a bench, sitting down and taking a deep breath. She is just going to sit here until she can wrap her head around the fact that she seems to have been teleported from New York to Chicago and she has no idea how. This is a good plan.
