John Callahan hasn't seen Bela since the week the Rift decided to play with everyone's subconscious. It seemed to take a toll on her along with everyone else, and he's decided to drop by unannounced to check in on her. He'd been worried that week, didn't forget the way she looked when he stood in her doorway. The fear and the guilt and the mistakes were all written across her face, and because she's his friend, he's going to want to look out for her.
And so, without having any idea of what's in store for him, he goes to the Kashtta.
He's going to look for her until he finds her. He's thinking of offering to buy her some tea, since she prefers that to coffee, or maybe he should just flat-out admit he's been worried about her and wants to know how she is.
It's that simple, in the end. It's what you do for a friend.
Today should not be different than any other day, but it will be.
