Aurora has been splitting her time between her apartment and the Kashtta, occasionally going out into the street to patrol but not every night the way she used to. She's become a familiar face at the Tower, passing through the halls, studying the place with mild curiosity

But there is someone trying to get her attention ans she sighs, letting the ball dissolve into nothing before turning to the girl and smiling a little. ::We miss Iris.:: She sees no reason to lie, not to her, though she does understand keeping the details to herself. If Mio hasn't elaborated on things Aurora isn't sure it's her place to tell her everything.

::That thing you were doing with the ball of light was really pretty too. I liked it!::

She smiles faintly, and calls the ball up again. It's warm between her hands and this time she makes the colors shift and change.

If anyone tries to get in her way or otherwise harm her, she could always light them on fire.
When she spots Neal, however, she can't help the small smile that crosses her face. "You know, you shouldn't wander in Chicago at night. Tends to get most people into trouble."

"So I've heard," he says with a grin. "But I'm pretty good at getting myself out of trouble. Besides, where there's a little risk, there's always a little fun too."

He slides around Aurora with the ease and grace that being a vampire allows him, and he settles on his feet at the bottom of the stairs. Damon looks over at her, raising an eyebrow in her direction with that charming, cocky, sarcastic look of his.
"Is that a magic ball in your hands or are you just happy to see me?"
Reply
"Happy to see you," she deadpans, finally peering at him around the ball. "The magical ball is just a byproduct. I can't keep in the joy."

The narration has a list of people who are never happy to see you, Damon. It's a long, long list, and if dead people were included on it (like all the ones you have killed), it would be even longer.
"What do you do with a joy filled ball like that?"

"There are other things you could do as well," she says with a shrug, willing the little ball of energy back to her. "But I find that to be one of the more useful things."

She turns and begins to skip down the steps, covered in glitter. It's in her hair, on her hands, her clothes - there's even a smear across her nose. There's probably more on her than there is on the book waiting for her in the cafeteria.
Cassie frowns as soon as she sees Spencer and the awkwardness of how he's moving down the stairs. She pulls out her headphones, "Spence..?" her face falls as soon as she sees him shaking, "... What's wrong?"

Then Cassie turns the corner and sees him and all he wants to do is just turn around and run. She really doesn't need this right now, he doens't need this right now but considering this is the end result of his own choices, he can't get away from that.
"Hi,," he says, forcing a smile onto his face. "I'm fine, really. I just haven't eaten very much today."

"You look sick, not hungry," she says worriedly, "Have you thrown up or something?"
She reaches up, pressing the back of her hand against his forehead, trying to feel for a fever. "You're shaking like mad,"

The hand against his skin makes him stiffen. He knows that he's starting to run a fever but it could be worse. It's not as if he's doing this cold turkey he's trying to ease himself out of things but it's still taking a toll all the same.
"I just wanted to get something to eat,," he tries. "And then I was going to go back to my room. I don't want to get anyone sick."

And, as per usual, nothing turns up. In her frustration, Anna rounds the corner into an alley and -- not looking where she's going -- collides with Neal in an ungraceful move that would make her pride blush.

"Are you all right," he questions, just in case. After all, it's late at night and she's coming out from an alley,,,, it's a fairly practical question.

Stepping back once she's steady, and noticing his smile, she clears her throat awkwardly to keep herself from staring. Because the man is clearly gorgeous and well, she'd be blind not to notice.
"Huh? Uh, yeah, I'm uh, fine. Sorry, you alright?"

Which is completely true. Walking around alone at this hour is probably not the smartest thing that could be done but he wanted to get out and he's not intimidated by cities.
