[originally, I was going to have actual situations set up so that people could interact with my characters and say goodbye. now, I'm thinking it's a better idea to have some situations, but if you want to have a personal, private goodbye with a character (like Josef and Kat, for example), just IM/PM me and we can figure out the logistics of the goodbye. it is fair to assume that all of my characters have let people close to them know that they are leaving town.]
Katherine Kirschenbaum has spent a lot of time packing up her belongings. Which is funny, considering she doesn't have that many to begin with. But she's going to Russia, so it's not like she can take having anything for granted. Not that Russia is a horrible desolate wasteland, but she's never really been out of the country.
She can be found near the O, the Estates, and once or twice, in the Kashtta.
Lily and Molly Fuchizaki are taking a break from not-packing in the Coffee Shop. The two of them actually have movers taking care of most of their stuff. Molly's blabbering on about something Lily's not quite listening to. All of her work, discarded. She'll have to start fresh back in California. But at least she'll have Stanford's resources. Maybe she can even get her son back.
Sailor Mercury can be found by Torchwood, editing the computer systems to make them more accessible to Mio. She doesn't know when she'll be able to come back. Perhaps when her heart stops feeling like it's going to break.
Sunshine on the other hand has actually taken it upon herself to throw herself a goodbye party. There is lots of beer, a grill, and they're next to a pool. Sure, it's too cold for swimming for humans, but Sunshine thinks it's nice enough outside already.
Everyone's invited.
Unlike everyone else, Kim Whitmore isn't leaving Chicago. He's just wandered into the Kashtta, hoping to take a break from the noise outside for a moment while he fiddles with his headphones. They've been shorting lately, and the traffic noise is close to driving him insane.
He stands in the lobby, plugging and unplugging his iPod, twisting the headphones cord, trying not to get too riled up. He can't afford to let his wings out in public. They're already itching with the tension. He drops his iPod and swears quietly under his breath.
When he picks it up, the LCD is all messed up, and his heart rate raises. He can't afford to replace it, not now, and he needs the thing. He's taken such good care of it, too.
[Just a note -- while my narration uses male pronouns for Kim, as a closeted trans man, he may not read male to your characters. He will also not correct your characters, if they use female pronouns for him.]
