If it's a bad day, you try to suffocate

Chicago's a rough city to be in any day of the week, but for some people it's rougher today than it has been in a while.

Leon Warner is laying on his side in a puddle from the rain yesterday, protecting his head from the poorly-aimed kicks of the group of larger boys around him. Oddly enough, he didn't ask for this fight, it just came to him, and he can't stop thinking about his backpack which is laying across the alley with all his textbooks inside of it, slowly being soaked by another puddle. He has homework in there that took hours and if he has to do it again he might just cry.

"Get off of me, you fuckers!" he shouts, and strikes out with his feet, only to be tackled and rolled onto his back to be punched in the face. He could probably use a little help right now.

Trinity McFasater was just broken up with. People use drugs for a variety of reasons, but in this case Trin's (now ex-)boyfriend used them to make her pass out so he could leave her laying in a different back alley across town. Trin's just now waking up, and she's not entirely sure what happened, so she's trying to get to her feet, trying to get to a phone. It might help her case if she looked in her pocket and found the note her ex left her explaining the whole deal, but then again, it might not. Right now she just looks really drunk and is probably going to stumble into someone.

Michael Vaughn got mugged last night, walking in Grant Park by himself. He's pretty damn lucky it wasn't the CLF or something worse, but he's laying unconscious just off a path, his clothes wet from the damp grass. Of course, thanks to his Riftpower, he doesn't have a scratch on him, so for all he knows he just randomly blacked out. But right now he's just going to continue laying there, face down in the grass. Exciting, Chicago! Life is so exciting!

For Scout, however, Chicago is treating her pretty well. She's sitting on some swings in a park, even though under her butt there is a small puddle. She's got her blanket from Santa tied under her chin, and as she swings it flies from her back, rippling in the wind. Good day for her, and she's giggling a little bit with each swing.
