There is an outdoor cafe not very far from the Conrad Hotel and sitting at one of the tables, clearly visible from the street, is a girl.
She is not an unassuming girl- rather she's one of those girls that certain men's eyes are instinctively drawn to if they have a thing for coquettish young beauties or are just known for having wandering eyes. There's a cup of coffee in front of her and she's sipping it and relishing the flavor with an adorable expression of content, all while keeping her eyes on the street, offering a little wave if she catches a young man looking at her and giggling when he turns his head away and blushes.
She only just got in town a few hours ago and already she's convinced herself that Chicago really was a wonderful spot for a vacation, even though Daddy told her repeatedly that running around like a little heathen in a city where she doesn't know the demons could prove to be rather bad for her. She could get away with this in Vegas- her father being a higher up in the mafia there, which allowed her more than a few liberties, but here things are a bit different. She's somehow failed to notice that.
Then again, Lola Adair very rarely notices anything unless she thinks it will suit whatever need she gets into her head. She's young, inexperienced, spoiled rotten, sadistic, and not exceptionally bright... And somehow all four of those things only serve to make her more dangerous to the people around her.... Well, humans, anyway. She wouldn't be able to take a demon or a powerful angel in a fight... Although that doesn't mean she isn't stupid enough to try.
Her eyes follow the people on the street. She's bored out of her skull and what she really wants is someone to play with. She doesn't even have to torture them to have fun with them... But it helps.
