there is nothing left inside

Her bags are packed, and she's ready. She was ready a long time ago, to be honest. Today, Lily is finally getting out of rehab. It wasn't exactly necessary, she still doesn't think. She doesn't have a drinking problem like the rest of the folks here. And the whole mixing alcohol and pain killers thing was Ken's fault anyway. ...and Ken existing in Chicago was her fault, but let's not think about that too hard.

Soon, her brother should be here to take her away, and then they can get things back in order. Then, they have to deal with moving into their new place, which means she needs to talk to the angel (and deal with Kaden's "guardian"). So much to do.

The one member of Torchwood who seems to have escaped the curse of high drama as of late (well, Owen too, but he has perpetual stalker issues), Sailor Mercury is in the kitchen of the Kashtta because somehow, she managed to short out the extra outlet in her lab. So the refrigerator has been moved, and there's a tiny girl (in darker fuku than normal), sitting behind it. She's plugged a strange looking device into the wall, wires everywhere, and is looking at it intently.

This isn't official Torchwood business, but well. It's important.

Earlier in the day, before Sailor Mercury moved rather large appliances for unofficial business, Tabitha was also in the Kashtta's kitchen. Once, she made cookies with Elizabeth, so she thought that she'd try to make her some to surprise her, but right now, she's reminded that no matter what she does in the kitchen, it is doomed.

Which is really the last straw, because Tabitha's really been having a hard time as it is. So don't mind the tiny girl, sobbing over burnt cookies. It's really not as big of a deal as it seems.

Sunshine is in a bar, looking rather upset. Her voice is pretty loud, too. She probably shouldn't be in a bar, considering she has almost no money to speak of, but boys buy her drinks, and she's having a bad day. She just found out that Millie's place burnt up, which puts her back on the streets.

Or in her car. Whatever. It's not even that big of a deal. She might even be able to jet this town soon enough. It's getting to small. But there's someone staring at her, and she doesn't like it. "What the fuck are you looking at?" she asks, taking her drink and stalking across the bar. Maybe a game of pool will make her feel better. She's not in a place where she can hustle, but at least she can focus on the game.
