While Sunshine is unwilling to live in the Kashtta, she's more than willing to shower there. She's been homeless for over a month now, which kind of pisses her off. It's her damn landlord's fault for letting his girlfriend know he had a piece of ass on the side. She was perfectly happy fucking him for her house. She doesn't see the problem with that arrangement.
But whatever. Prudes will be prudes, so she'll help herself to some sandwiches as well. Losing the house meant that she lost her meat freezer, which is such bullshit. Well, it's in the back of her car right now, but she had to finish off the last of her stock pretty quickly. Which means that she's mostly out of food right now. And she's been banned from too many bars to make a decent amount of money pool hustling and she hasn't found anyone willing to take her under their wing as a whore. And she's not working the streets alone. She knows better than that.
Of course, it would probably help if Sunshine wore a shirt in the kitchen, but anyone who knows the angel knows that if going naked isn't going to kill her, she's going to be as naked as possible. And her wings are out. Oh. And she's spinning a gun on the table, as she chows down on her sandwich. It's like a surrealist painting, only it's real.
Kat on the other hand, is in Grant Park, playing chess. It's been a long time since she's seen anyone she cares about. Or maybe she just doesn't care about people anymore. It's hard to tell. She watches people move on by, staying silent. Usually, as she plays with herself, she babbles on, but no, she's silent.
It's getting close to that time of year. It's getting colder and she can't stop thinking about it. Whatever. It's not like it matters.
Francis is hanging out in the coffee shop, glaring at the newspaper and looking generally unhappy with his life. He's finally out of the hospital, but then he found out that things are going even more sour with the Barnams. He pulls out his cellphone, seeing if he can get any information on the coup, but there's nothing new on the filter.
"How hard is it to assassinate someone?" he asks his cell phone, staring at it. He has no idea he just said that aloud.
EDEN is staring at a slightly stable rift. It's stable for the moment at least. Glitter is spewing from it, coating EDEN's face with it. "All gone," EDEN says, looking sad. "All gone."
Reaching up, EDEN touches EDEN's face, glitter getting all over EDEN's fingers. "No one... no one here... anymore. Izzy? Isabel? Broken."
Tabitha is in the Kashtta, wondering what's happened to her life. She's wondering why it feels like there are so many people in her life, but she never sees any of them. She knows she has Elizabeth, even if it feels like the girl grew out of her. But it felt like there were more than that. Maybe she was wrong? It felt like she knew so many people. Luke? No. Luke is dead.
Luke is dead. Tears roll down her face as she thinks of that, but then they stop. There were people in her life. But she doesn't remember them. She pauses, reaching up to touch her face. Why are there tears there? She doesn't understand.
In fact, she doesn't remember coming to the Kashtta. She stands up, looking slightly confused. "Where am I?" she asks, taking in a long breath.
