They've gone through this ceremony so many times, but today, things are different. Some of the newer members of the Bestowed might not not be able to tell the difference, but the older ones should be able to tell something is off. For starters, rather than taking the circle in their warehouse, or a safer space outdoors, they're preparing in the middle of Grant Park, in the middle of the day.

She has the final piece; she can finally complete things. She can go home. If she could get rid of the positive vibe she's adding to the atmosphere, she could, but as her appearance suggests, Vasumati is just a child, and it's hard to hold in the sheer joy.

Now, it's just a matter of affixing the final piece, and taking her pillars. It's not like she's waited that long. She's existed for eons of these idiots' time, but just being here hurts. The pain, the being alone, they make these paltry years feel so much longer than they are.
