Ordinarily, he might object to that phrasing, but in this case, it's rather too apt. He hasn't been here for a while - and, in fact, so far as he can tell, he hasn't been for a while - and he's fighting the feeling that Torchwood has suffered a coup or the Tower has sprouted another passageway to hell or the Master's ensconced himself in a bedroom or something while he's been gone. So far he can't tell that anything cataclysmic has happened, but it's Chicago. He's sure he'll come across something if he looks long enough.
Meanwhile, Owen Harper has ventured out of his morgue for non-bedroom-related activities for the first time in a very long time.
He didn't actually want to. It's just that the containment seal on one of the morgue shelves containing one of the corpses from the Plague of Monsters has rotted away from the inside, and he needs to dispose of the remains.
Just don't ask why he's dragging a very... fragrant... duffel bag through the halls out toward the dumpster.
