I abused it at times, made it hard to connect

[OOC: I have no ward planned for him, but he makes every effort to not look someone in the eyes so feel free to tag him even if you want your char to maybe be his ward in the future. I'm assuming there will come a time when it's clear who it should be. IDEK.]

David Hansen is lying back on a park bench, staring up at the sky. It's a sunny day out, but there's a dark, wide cloud that's low to the ground and only exists over the bench. He has no idea why it's there. It appeared out of thin air. People started running away like they thought it'd start spitting out acid. It could. There are so many possibilities. It could rain fire like Chicago skies have been known to do in the past. It could shoot lightning out, burning anyone stupid enough to remain under it.

He's running through all the possibilities in his head. It's scary, but he's not moving like everyone else, not yet. Part of being in an adventure is being willing to stick around, even in the face of the unknown. It's not that David really wants to be in one, but what better place to take inspiration from than real life?

David figures the cloud is one of those Chicago things and not every Chicago thing is bad. He slips the notebook under his back and remains facing the could as it starts to sprinkle. It's hot out. The water feels nice. His mind is racing with thoughts that aren't here. They're worries and worst case scenarios and and his mother and fantasy worlds that he's making up in his head as he goes.

Harry Potter is looking for his mother-- for Lily Evans. She's not technically his mother, even though she would have been one day, if she'd only remained in her own world. Here, she gets a chance to live at least, but he can't help but wonder what happens to Voldemort, without his mother's sacrifice. Does someone end up stopping him?

There aren't answers to those questions. They don't matter. He's looking for Lily in the Tower, but he wouldn't mind talking to anyone that he ran into along the way.
