This is a problem. And this is a problem EDEN doesn't know how to fix.
No. That's not true. It's a problem he knows how to fix, but he is not allowed to fix it. He laces his fingers together, staring at the arm in his hand. It's not connected. It's not connected and he doesn't know anyone who is allowed to put it back on.
And now it's raining.
Usually, EDEN's circuits are fine with rain. The cyberskin is waterproof and all of his wiring is covered in rubber. But now that his arm has been ripped off by a thing with too many teeth, the wires are exposed. EDEN shakes as he hides under the awning of a business that's now closed for the evening, hoping no one will tell him off. He's not supposed to be here.
But he doesn't even know where he's supposed to be. Fong de la Smith never showed up. His boss never showed up so he couldn't go to work. He screwed up. If the thing with too many teeth hadn't showed up, maybe his boss would have. He shakes as he cradles his arm, wishing the rain would go away.
Just go away.
