I'm rolling thunder, pouring rain...

Robin Rice is down at the pier, leaning against the railing, looking into the water, and remembering a conversation that he once had with a very wise man. It's dusk. A small child gave him a balloon. God knows why. He doesn't understand children, but he's holding it for her sake and for whatever reason, he hasn't let go of it yet. It dangles in the air in front of him.

Yes, it looks odd for a man in a suit to be holding a bright pink balloon. He's aware.

Danny Smalls has heard about a den of monsters inhabiting an apartment. Apparently, they're there in the morning. At dusk, he approaches it, armed with traps and explosives and weapons, which he's carrying in a backpack and a duffel. Being tiny, Danny looks barely noticeable in the mess of all that he's carrying. He doesn't often carry a gun, but he has one at the present time. Oh, yeah. Those monsters are going down.

Harry Potter has been talking to people, trying to find information about the CLF. He could pass well enough as a human, couldn't he? It's the wand that gives him away, and he doesn't carry that with him anymore. He can use anything as a wand after all. Harry walks away from someone who'd been yelling in his direction for five minutes, pamphlets about wanderer hate in his hand. It's hard to contain the rage at the moment, but he manages. He's starting to realize how difficult it was... to be Snape.

Jane is drinking at a bar, not much. She never drinks enough to get drunk, but she is looking for someone to be sociable with. If she likes them, they'll have a nice conversation. If not, she can take them out in the alleyway and make them scream a little.

It looks human, but it's not. It's a zombie-like-creature that's killed some woman. Martha Jones has her gun pointed at that human looking face. It's far too easy to pull the trigger, to watch the head explode and feel nothing. She's Martha Jones. It shouldn't be so easy to kill, especially something that looks so human.

There's a rift behind it, more are pouring through. She lifts her gun and aims again. This? This is easy.
