The hard, unexpected fall that pulls Claire Bennet away from the cameras that were on her moments ago only triggers one immediate emotion: confusion. She knows where she was - in New York City, at the carnival, being bombarded by reporters after she took a dive off of the ferris wheel. Unfortunately, it only takes her a quick look around to realize that she has been moved, and that the surrounding streets aren't familiar to her at all. Did Hiro do this? Who needs our help this time?
She takes a moment to yank her left arm (the one she landed on) into place, while the rest of her injuries heal up before she notices them. What she finds more interesting than anything that might have happened to her, is that there's no one waiting around to explain this to her. No Hiro. No Peter. She would even take Sylar, but he is nowhere to be found. Her mind starts making jumps from wondering who did this to her to what did this to her as she dusts herself off, still covered in a fair amount of dirt and blood from her earlier stunt.
It's probably going to be hard to get anyone to talk to her when she looks like she just lost a fight. Technically, she feels like she won a battle, but she doubts that anyone would believe her. And, judging by the way that most people are going about their business as if someone didn't just fall from the sky in front of them, she's starting to get the idea that not many people would care.
"What the hell?" Claire mumbles, cautiously beginning to make her way down the sidewalk. She's taking in as much as she can, hoping to find the name of the city, or the date. It's been a longer day than she would have liked, and all she wants to do is find her way back to her dad so that he can yell at her and she can go to sleep, but she's getting the feeling it won't be that easy.
She hates that feeling.
