About three minutes ago, Owen Harper was on his bluetooth with the usual So, a Rift opened up in the cellar and something came through before it sealed up; I'm sure none of you care, but on the offchance that you do, I'm going down to check it out. He's not expecting anyone to come. Granted, an entirely new rift opening was a bit odd, but it sealed too fast for it to be anything more than a Grant Park style blip, and at least the Tower didn't throw an almighty hissyfit like it did when the skitter monster came through, so it was probably just another wanderer they'd left to him to bitch at.
Except now he's down in the room he sensed the disturbance in, and it seems to be one of the several Dolphin Tank rooms. Which are now more Squid Tank rooms since Matoi's plied them with calamari, and which now seems to be a squid-and-eel tank as the Rift seems to have dropped an entire colony of squirmies through.
He's... not entirely sure what to think of this.
Meanwhile, Elashte is reading through a copy of A People's History of the Supernatural United States, which took a certain amount of finding. It's not as if it's being stocked in major booksellers. He's reading this at a table at the closest outdoor coffeeshop he could find within sight of the Biosys International building, and he's keeping an eye on the comings and goings therefrom.
His information network hasn't given him any hard info on who they are or what they do - they've given him barely any, in fact. But enough to start a seed of curiosity in his mind, and so he's keeping his eye on who seems to work there and who seems to visit. It's a pity he can't let his wings out - he swears a few of them carry themselves like angels. [ETA: Neqs can tell anyway. RETCON DA POST]
