04:00 - In the Kashtta Tower, soft music is floating from the piano room tucked back by the cursed hallway.
It's not terribly good music.
J picked his way through a primer someone had left on their piano, and is now demonstrating minimal proficiency at having memorized any of the songs. He can pretty reliably hit the first few bars of Ode to Joy

The hood is up. She could look at it and try to pretend she knows things about cars and stuff. Hey, if she wrecks it further, who's going to pin it on her? It's only a bit of fun.
So the fourth time she passes the TARDIS, she pulls over to the side of the road, gallumphing forward. "Ohhh I'll have a little bit of a looksie under this here hood now won't I?" she asks, looking to the side as if she were addressing someone next to her. She giggles softly, pulling out a pack of cigarettes. "Now, Jeanie, I don't understand how you manage to break down this often. Why won't you just let me drive?"

...target is already talking to a nonorganic... something! The TARDIS scans, but comes up with nothing - doesn't mean whatever-she's-talking-to's not sentient or extant. Could just mean it's a quit sort of soul.

Something.
Trying to figure out what's going on and not freak out, she drops her pack of cigarettes, leaning over to pick it up.
"Well, yeah, the car's broken, I mean," she says, scanning around, trying to find the source of the. Something. "I-- I won't touch it. Then. I get it."

Trust the talking car, Sunshine! She only wants to be your friend!

"I'm Sunshine?" she says, not meaning to have made that into a question. Or jumped when the hood slammed. She is an archangel and therefore not susceptible to noises scaring her. Or something. "I'm Sunshine. It's... nice to meet you too, TARDIS?"
...That wasn't supposed to be a question either.
"It's nice to meet you too, TARDIS."

"Tic-Tac-Toe?" she asks. "Tic-Tac-Toe. I like Tic-Tac-Toe? Yeah, I like Tic-Tac-Toe."
Now, she hasn't really played Tic-Tac-Toe since she was like. Six and not allowed to have toys and she and Treestar were really bored, but that's beside the point. When a car is talking in your brain and can rotate like that, you just go along with it. Just roll along.

...okay.
What?
...okay.
That is basically the string of Sunshine's thoughts when it comes to the sudden tic-tac-toe board. She settles on okay, mostly because well, there's a tic-tac-toe board that's now talking to her. She can't say no to a tic-tac-toe board talking to her. Well, she could. Could she?
Noooo, she doesn't want to try it. What if the words come out wrong? Or right. Or somewhere fuzzy in between. No, no, no, the only correct answer here is to play tic-tac-toe.
"I'll play tic-tac-toe with you?" Sunshine asks. "...I'll play tic-tac-toe with you."
And then, perhaps, she will learn something from the tic-tac-toe. It's been a while since a trip has kicked her on her ass and made her beg for mercy.
"I'll put an O here?" she asks, tapping on the message board, two spaces above the X. "I'll put the O there."

Now, while Sunshine really isn't the best tic-tac-toe player in the world (Treestar always got her on moves that would always trap you and she never could figure it out) she knows this one! So she taps the board, indicating the following:

"Kinda!" Sunshine informs the TARDIS. "On the angel part, I mean. It's comp-li-ca-ted. All that jazz. But you can probably read my mind anyway, considering that you're talking in it, oh great one, so I doubt you've gotta dig too deep to figure that one out, huh?" Or something. Things get all wibbly wobbly when you're under the impression that the entire world is fusing together in a weird way. Maybe it is.
"But stories? ...stories. Oh! I know! I could tell you about the time I was hitchhiking because Leslie-Anne wasn't with me yet and I'm pretty sure I got a real axe murderer. I bet you there was an axe in his cab and everything."

"But so, I was like trying to get out of Utah because Mormons and I just don't get along. Something about desecration of holy property or something or another. See, I was walking a pig on temple grounds one day. I'd just saved him from a luau. Which is kind of weird because I'm not sure even why I did it. I was drunk. I don't know why I do most things I do. But so the pig needed to go snuffle things or something so I took a rope and was just walking him around Salt Lake City and there were cool buildings and it was pretty awesome. Until the police tasered me. They didn't even give me fair warning. It was just rooting ( ... )

Literally, in this case. She finds this particular finite being's somatic and psychological experience of color fascinating.
She pulls it up to the front of Sunshine's mind, laying it out like a picture book. :: ?? :: Sometimes, even if she can just read a thing, she likes to be told.

This talking car/tic-tac-toe board thing is pretty much the best thing in the world. It's been a long time since she's had a good hallucination and this one is just wicked. It would also be totally awesome if she could pull her own memories out like that. Maybe she can.
No. She can't.
"That!" Sunshine says, sounding excited, "Is when I went to the Duchess of San Francisco's Dream Den. All sorts of crazy stuff started happening, but I kid you not, a fairy got trapped in the room while everyone was sleeping. And it was crying and I could totally hear it and everything. And so I went to go find her, and she was crying and crying and was like, "HEEEEEEELP ME" but I couldn't because she was all tangled up in webbing. But then I realized that it was stardust webbing that she was all tangled up in so I pulled the curtains to the side and the webbing melted, and I opened ( ... )
