Everything is broken. He doesn't know who else to talk to.
It only takes him seven minutes to get to the pizza place. He's sitting alone. So sober. He's never been this sober before and felt so lost.
Francis has fucked everything up. He doesn't know what to believe anymore.
He doesn't know how to cope with this.

Then she saw the message from Francis.
She's very glad for pizza parlors open until ridiculous hours of the morning, so that it's still open now. Which, thankfully, is NOT a ridiculous hour of the morning, but much longer...
Tay appears in the doorway in cargo pants, her nightshirt, and a jacket. Her hair's still loose around her shoulders, and she looks more grown up and more feminine than most people would guess from the simple fact that her hair is down. She sees Francis and stalks over, not even bothering to sit down.
"What the fuck happened?"

"I fell in love," he says simply. There's pain in his voice, but not much else. Francis doesn't know how else to explain everything. There's no words. It's all pain and empty and confusion. Katja. "She-- fuck."

She rubs the back of her neck and sighs, looking down at the tabletop. "One of the sweetest, most caring and selfless people I know is a demon, you know. Her name's Piper. She's just a kid, and she's a fucking strong Glaysa, I think, but... she doesn't want to hurt people or anything. She just wants to help." She pauses a little. "There are still demons who I think need killing. But it's not because they're demons. It's because they're bad people."
Tay looks up at him and smiles wryly. "Sorry, just had to get that out. You wouldn't listen to me last time I tried to tell you."
