This is a different kind of city, a new kind of city. She can sense it crawling under her skin from where she's crouched. Filthy, dirty. Gotham wasn't much better than this, but she knows almost instantly that this isn't Gotham. It feels strange, new against her skin. The sounds aren't the same. People are running scared. Even the animals sound hushed, birds calling softly in the trees as if they're afraid they'll make too much noise.

The Batman isn't here, she realizes with too much delight, and her hand closes around the whip at her side. She would know it if he were.

She tilts her head, studying the people walking below. One of them may prove useful. The rest are simply pawns to be manipulated. But she'll take some time before making her presence known to the masses at large.

After all, a girl deserves to make an entrance.
