This time last year, if someone had told Egon that he would be going to meet a demon of his own free will, in the middle of an enormous apartment complex full of demons, he would have said that they were crazy.
Walking up to the gates of the Main Gauche with a case of beer in hand, he wonders if maybe he isn't.
He swore he'd never get attached to anyone. Then Eloi came into his life just long enough for him to do just that, and now he's gone. All leads just take him back to Daniel Jackson, and while the former ward is a nice man and eerily similar, he's not Egon's son. Now all he has left is Trinity. A demon. Someone who he also was trying not to get attached to.
So if you're not attached, why are you still here?
