Scout's been zooming around the city like an airplane, making the noises. "Nrrrrrrrrrrrrr, nrrrrrrrr, nrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr," she whirs, changing pitch as she gets higher and then lower, before she skids to a stop by the finger.
And she reaches out and pokes it, then rolls her eyes and looks up at the man sitting at the table.
"Gypped," she says calmly. "Not real, yeah? Bummer." A pause. "Can go get real, if want, yeah?"
Scout bounces a little. "Ate, see?" she asks. "But snack. If offer, yeah? Nice." She grins, her big wide grin that shows all of her teeth. "Don' have money, yeah? But can go get real, if want, yeah?" She nods again at the finger. "Or, better!" She raises a hand and points at it with the other, then moves her finger up to indicate a whole arm, beaming at him the whole time.
She wants to repay him for a snack. If that's not clear to him at all. Which it might not be.
Scout sits down tentatively. She's not used to being treated this way. It's just not... normal.
And then he asks her what she wants and the answer is she doesn't know. She never eats out if she can help it--that's why she eats where she does, back in the Conrad, so she doesn't really have to do much shopping. "Juice?" she asks quietly. Because it's simple and easy to say.
But then he asks her her name and the conversation is back in familiar waters. She raises her head to grin at him proudly, showing off as many of her teeth at once as she possibly can. "Scout," she says, then cocks her head to the side--a wordless question.

One might hope he's referring to the ones on his hands. One would be mostly right. "You look like you could use something to eat."

She shrugs. "Eat, shmeat," she says. "Dunno if could use, yeah? Om nommity nom 'n all." No, she doesn't make a lick of sense. Oh well.

There's only so many kinds of people who would run around Chicago pretending to be airplanes. "Something sweet?"
