Noticin' the days hurrying by; when you're in love, my how they fly

Adrian is in a clean, quiet, out-of-the-way little music store and luthier. It's well-lit and and rigidly tidy, every surface polished, instruments carefully displayed, tidily organized racks of music arranged according to genre and alphabetized as well. The Muse who owns the place emerges from the back and eyeballs Adrian with suspicion. She somehow compliments her store without looking like it at all. Her apron is patched, her hair is up in a bundled mess and she has polish smeared on her forehead.

"What?"

He grins. "I was hoping you might give my girl some attention. I got her taken care of on the way up here from New Orleans, but the humidity--well. She could always use a little more love."

He sets his guitar case gently on the counter and snaps it open, turning it toward the woman. She stares at it. "This. This is a... This is a Hauser. This is a Hermann Hauser original. I've not-- I've never--"

"1952. One of the last he made before he died, probably."

She runs her fingers over the strings. "Please. I would--yes. I would love to work on it. Would you play it for me first?"

So, here is Adrian, having a marvelous day after a marvelous night, playing his instrument in Heartstrings Luthier.

Winny and Radcliff are on the roof of the Conrad, Radcliff looking disgusted and Winny supervising the comings and goings of about a dozen or so people, all of them hauling dirt, rocks, and lengths of hose.

Winny is turning the Conrad's roof into a scent garden, and the entire prospect has her giddy.

Of course, that's pretty much her default state of late.

Cy has enlisted the help of a bemused Ragnar who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Currently--and without success--they are trying to drag a complex and obviously broken bit of machinery away from an open rift in a copse of trees in Grant Park.
