9am: Elizabeth Jules has decided it's a good thing she started training with Aaron Barnam. Not that she expected to be assaulted by an undead wanderer on the sidewalks of Chicago three weeks after training started, but she's not dead, yet (even if she's not exactly winning), and she's sure she has Aaron to thank for that.
10am: Rusty Hunt is leaving Chinatown with a box that has air holes. Animal like growls come from inside, and occasionally whatever is in it hits the inside of the box so hard that he almost loses his grip on it more than once. "This was not in the fuckin' job description," he mutters as if there were a job description at all.
11am: Jacob Hobbes is in the Sun Room of the Gauche listening to rap music via boombox and creating magnetic fields so he can manipulate a scraps of metal into metal animals. It's art!
12pm: Martha Jones is in the basement of the Conrad looking for Rachel Dawes, specifically. Robin called her a few days ago, and she has just had the opportunity to come over. However, she'd be happy to talk to anyone.
1pm: Emily Noble came to the Conrad with Martha. She wandered outside with the receptionist who's on break, and stands in Grant Park paying attention to all the rifts opening and closing in the nearby area, letting wanderers out. There's not much time left before the storm comes.
2pm: John Casey has stumbled on to a monster by the library. It's a scorpion that's roughly the size of a bus. Most people might be discouraged by large scorpions (to the point that they're screaming and running away), but John Casey takes out his gun and is thankful for the fun!
3pm: Luke is in kitten form lying on the sidewalk and staring at the cars as they rush by. He is not a happy kitten. No, he's a terrified, guilt-ridden, broken, sick kitten thinking that wandering into the street might be for the best.
4pm: Roland Deschain is still alive. Everyone has forgotten about the assassination attempt. He sits on a bench in the city watching the news on the television from the window of the electronics store. Martin- Flagg- will die. Roland has learned to trust his instincts, again.
5pm: Xander Harris has put his axe away at last. He is now exploring the Gauche. If it's going to be his home, he might as well figure out where the heck the pizza is... and other important stuff.
6pm: Jamal Malik finds himself in an alley getting kicked around by some big guy who is pissed about money he was conned out by the small child. Just another day in the life of a street rat. If only they'd look closer...
7pm: Romeo has taken to the sidewalks as vampires do. He's looking for something to eat or someone to recruit. And then there's a young teenage girl being attacked by a few thugs! He rushes in to save her. It will be easier to get his mouth on her neck when he's her hero.
8pm: JD is walking out of a bar. He's a bit tipsy, but he's headed for another bar, because that's what he does. He drinks. He's got a total uber crush on Nate. And he drinks. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, he has finally admitted that realization to himself, which may be why he's drinking.
9pm: The Sears Tower Skydeck will be closing within the hour. It's practically empty now, except for Randall Flagg wearing his 'disguise' so that people only notice him when he wants them to. He is standing in the recently built Ledge. It's an invisible box over the city. What better place for a Rift to be?
11:59pm: Robin Rice hasn't been out of his room since he left Ruvin in the park except to give Rose to someone so they could take care of her. One drunk homeless man. He would have preferred killing that man than to have done what he did to Ruvin. He is his mother, and he can't allow himself to get close to anyone, because it clearly puts them in danger. His existence puts people in danger. He's sitting in the common room in a fit of self-hatred staring into the fire with the puppy lying on his lap.
