There's a man standing in the middle of Grant Park, holding an open cell phone like a few moments before, he might have been using it for a makeshift light. Or maybe like he was going to beat someone with it. As most people don't use cell phones like that, it's probably hard to tell.
A few minutes ago, Edward Albright was standing in the (currently under lockdown and utterly blacked out) JANUS hub with Mavis, trying to figure out what the hell just happened to compromise the entire project and what it had to do with him and his better half. Now he's in what appears to be a park that he's pretty sure is nowhere near LA and, unless JANUS has developed teleporting protocol, there's no excuse for this.
He has so many legitimate questions.
"Edward..."
"Not now, Henry," Edward mutters, figuring he just hit a button on the cell phone accidentally- that's the only time he ever has to hear Henry's whining, which is the only good thing about being broken. He flips the phone shut and shoves it back in his pocket and starts to observe the surroundings, trying to get a fix on the location. He wanders a bit, coming across Buckingham Fountain and immediately stops.
"Chicago. Perfect." How the hell did he end up in Chicago?
"Edward!"
...That time wasn't the cell phone. "Henry, why the hell are you talking to me?" Said slowly and irritably, like talking to a particularly annoying and dense child.
"I was going to ask you the same question. You're the expert on this!"
Edward twists his face into a grimace, thankful that there's no one standing around right now. "You are supposed to be in your little... Box in the back of my brain. You are not supposed to be up here with me. That's how this works."
"Yeah, well. I was also not supposed to wake up randomly, but you see how well that worked."
Welcome to Chicago, Edward and Henry. This feeling of 'I HATE EVERYTHING?' Yeah, you're gonna get used to that really quickly.
As for the rest of Chicago, don't mind the crazy man talking to himself, he's....
Okay. He's not harmless, but he's probably not going to attack anyone.
