[[OOC: Here, kids! Have a party thread- a happy, working party thread with no horrible... Hopefully. I have no idea how much work was already done on those rooms or what rooms we need to start with, or, hell, anything about renovations, so you can take liberties if you'd like. The point of this is mostly so that it exists and people can have a

Once down there, of course, she's a bit less certain of what she's doing - she'd like to at least get them started setting up a keycard system for the stairs, but that requires talking to someone in charge here, and locating that person isn't exactly easy when they keep moving.
It seems strange to be back down here after so long gone. Even stranger that it still feels like home, and a happier and safer one than the one she has now. She tries not to think about that.

He's starting to think he should help with some of the painting in lieu of anything else when he spots Tosh. "You look a bit lost," he comments, walking over with a friendly smile. "Can I help you?"

The minute he sees Tosh, he saunters over with a little sigh of relief. "Hi... Um.. I'm sorry, I can't remember your name, but you're Torchwood, right?"

"I'm Torchwood. Toshiko Sato. I thought I might be able to help you setting up a keycard system for your stairs..."

He doesn't go far, just ducks behind the front desk and comes back with one of the old panic buttons, a bit dusty from misuse. "Given the current political climate of Chicago and the fact that these days we're all scattered, I got to thinkin' maybe it'd be a good idea to get a better system for these puppies set up with a switchboard and someone mannin' it at all times- one here and one at your place- so when one of these goes off, they can call either my kids or your team and we can try to avoid the whole gettin' to the scene of the crime deal a little too late, if you get what I'm sayin'." He shrugs. "Figured since you invented 'em, you'd be able to do somethin' with 'em."

He shakes his head, wrinkling his brow as he tries to figure up a good number, since hell if he knows how this works. "I'd say start with about ten to each building. Chances are we won't need that many, but I'd rather be safe than sorry."

She finds it a little... odd, in a way, that he's so friendly, personable. Considering his former boss tried to kill her and her friends, more than once... She much prefers it this way.

If anything, Vincent's personability probably has a lot to do with that. Well, he was always personable, but after everything's that happened, he can't shake the feeling that he has to do better by wanderers to make up for the shadow that Romana cast over everything. Especially when it comes to Torchwood- he's still sore about his kids getting killed out there, but he knows why it happened and it wasn't Torchwood's fault.
