Jacob Hobbes stands outside of the Main Gauche with a backpack against his ankle, leaning against a pole. He's not so sure about this place. It's not like any building that he's seen before. He heard from someone or another that it was a place for supernatural sort to live who didn't have a problem with demons. Jacob hasn't met many demons so he can't say he has a problem with them.
The only supernatural people that he had met before his sudden, necessary move to Chicago were supernatural humans. Even in that group, he had met only elemental, shapeshifters, and a couple of magicians. He hadn't even met many of those. They were all young and learning together from an older fire elemental, but that all went to fucking hell faster than Jacob could have anticipated. Faster than anyone could have anticipated. He knows next to nothing about demons, angels, or wanderers so he can't be judgmental about them.
Still. He's not going to walk into a building that he knows nothing about. And he literally can't walk into it, anyway. It's gated. He could try moving the metal gate by manipulating magnetic waves, but he has a feeling he'd break the gate. Not the best way to start his first day in a new place.
So Jacob is going to wait outside of the apartment complex, see what kind of people walk in, and figure out how to get in, too. He doesn't want to spend another night sleeping outside.
