[OOC: Chris and I decided that Robin's carnival-infected glee could last for a week or so, because I haven't had a chance to post him in yet with everything going on and glee!Robin is a once in a never opportunity. Plus, we're going to guess that sex had something to do with it lasting.]
Robin is in a park feeding pigeons. He has been filled with glee since the sex and hasn't been back to the hotel since he left it for the carnival. Robin has spent his time doing gleeful things like saving kittens from trees and feeding the homeless and doing karaoke at a local bar and having more sex... It doesn't matter what he's doing! Life is fabulous. The day is sunny and warm. Summer is on its way! What's not to love?
Pigeons are adorable! How had he never noticed it before? Look at them cluck about trying to get at the bits of bread. Everything can only serve to make him happier right now. It's a one time only deal of complete glee that will fade and linger in his head like the worst hangover tomorrow when he comes to his senses and hates his life more than ever before.
Jamal is singing on the sidewalk with a hat at his side to collect any money that he can. He has plenty from the bets that he's managed to get away from thanks to the man in the tree, but he likes to fall back on singing. It doesn't take much effort, but always provides results.
Romeo is being Romeo on the sidewalks. He took a vacation for the last couple of weeks back to his home. He hasn't been in years. It was nice to visit, but he's back in Chicago, again. Being his creepy vampire self on the streets of Chicago. He's not hungry at all and won't be for a while, which is convenient. There was plenty to eat back home.
And Roland Deschain still exists for now. He has healed from his gun shot wound to the arm thanks to the angel. He's watching a news report about Flagg in the Kashtta tower. His hand is clenched into a tight fist at his side. If he could decide if what he saw that night was a crazed vision or not, he would do something. He'd strike, again, despite how useless it could be if he could alert people to lok deeper into the politician instead of trusting him blindly as his people did... as his mother did. Roland suppresses a shudder at the thought.
