[[Crap, I've fallen behind on these. Stupid Real Life issues. If you need a new post in the future, and I haven't put one up, ask me please. ♥]]
The Carnival's recently started running a special promotion -- every tenth person through the gates gets ten free tickets to rides and the like. It's been getting some radio play, and there was even a small spot on the local news about it, billing the Carnival as a great place to take the kids for a day.
People who haven't had the spare cash to visit the Carnival might want to check it out.
And there are a few people wandering around, as well...
Marc Lucas is wandering the grounds with a scowl, munching on some cotton candy as if it's personally offending him. He's thinking of checking out the fortune teller's booth next. Maybe she'll have some fucking answers.
Schrödinger is also there, watching a magic show with a mild sense of interest. There's magic there, all right. The real kind. He thinks it's kind of amusing, truth be told. As observant as he usually is... He's used to creepy, and that's not registering as a threat, per se.
And John Smith is walking hand in hand with Rose Tyler. There's a scar running down his cheek from where a certain member of the Chicago Liberation Front tried to take out an eye and missed, but otherwise, he seems well enough. This is the first time he and Rose have gone out for fun since they were both attacked, but... Well, it's a bit public for the CLF to jump either of them, he thinks. Still, he's holding her hand rather tightly. They're here to have fun, after all.
And for one thing more... There's a little velvet box tucked into one of the inside pockets of his suit, where he doesn't have to worry about a pickpocket making off with it.
Standard precaution against carnival folk, you know. You can't trust them.
