Throw your fear upon the fire and burn it down...

Emily sits on the floor of the Casa's living room with her head in her hands. She hurts all over, but she's not sure why. Her head hurts the most. It hurts much more than she's used to it hurting after long sessions of trying to push and pull objects and people out of the Rift at camp.

On her lab is a flier for the Carnival. Someone had been handing them out the last time she went with Martha to the Conrad. She has never been to a Carnival before. She wanted to ask someone what they were like if there was really magic and fun for everyone. Emily could use a break.

In the Kashtta, JD is doing his version of sneaking around. He is trying to sneak up on Nate. It's very important that he manages this, of course. If he runs into anyone else, he'll probably be scared out of his wits, because he's not paying attention to anyone that isn't Nate.

It's time to head to the Carnival! Or at least, hang out with Nate for an exceptionally long time using the excuse that he needs Nate to accompany him to the Carnival. They'll get there... eventually, but if he has an excuse to stick around Nate then he will use it for all it's worth.

Elizabeth sits on the steps of an abandoned and run down church. Her mouth is pulled into a frown that trembles occasionally with emotion. She doesn't have the courage to talk to an actual priest about her feelings. They wouldn't understand, anyway, but she has regrets. She figures being as close to a church and asking for forgiveness is the best that she can do.

Luke is planning on going to the carnival. Maybe tonight. Maybe tomorrow. It seems like a fun distraction. If he's not distracted with a carnival, he'll be out sleeping with someone else, feeding the addiction. He's stopped at a convenience store for a small container of milk, sipping it from the straw and reading a nearby poster for the event that he's about to go to.

It should be fun, yeah?
