You know Atlanta never looked the same, after she burned to the ground.

In the wake of recent disasters, there are a few people around.

Wandering around the Gauche in a state that's more dreamlike than anything is Piper Paxton, who is utilizing the same technique she used during the attack on the Gauche to keep everyone calm. The tension in the air may be palpable, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was when the archangels attacked, but she's still freaked and needs a way to make herself useful. Keeping everyone calm is the best thing she knows to do.

Vincent Sterling is pacing the common room of the Conrad Basement with a cell phone, attempting to get through to James in the Chicago PD like he promised Hunt he would, but thus far he's only managed to get put on hold seven times in the last hour. He's been hanging up his phone, redialing, and occasionally stopping to check his journal to see if there's any new developments, and repeating this process with growing frustration. Questions, concerns, desperate requests for something to do (if you're one of his kids, anyway) may be directed towards him.

Also pacing, although in his flat as opposed to the basement, is Julian Sark who looks nowhere near as tense as he feels. Acts of terrorism are not exactly unfamiliar to him, but only in a business perspective, as opposed to this, which is just vulgar and obscene. Oh sure, maybe he's sold weapons to people who've gone and used them for such purposes, but he doesn't have to like it. He especially doesn't have to like it when he and pretty much everyone he likes are part of the group getting attacked.

And maybe that's not even the whole reason he's tense, considering he wasn't even here (where he very well should have been) when everything went to hell, and where he was is a completely different matter entirely.... This week is basically fired.

Checking journals is becoming a compulsion of his and when Ariel's entry comes up, he hisses some invective in another language, writes a hasty response, and then calls for April.

"April? I don't think we're going to be able to stay here."
