Arlin is in the Chicago Public Library, wandering through the stacks with a small armful of classic literature. Some of it he's read already, some of it he's meant to read and never really got around to it. Right now he's looking over the philosophy books, occasionally making a little scoffing noise at certain names, and occasionally pulling a book out to rifle through it.
Huck is rockin' out in the Conrad Hotel's bar. She's not drinking anything (well, she's got a glass of water), and is huddled into her coat, just watching everyone pass by around her. She might be bopping her head a little to the music, as much as she'll deny it if anyone comments. Really, she just came in here because it was damn cold outside.
Contrary to the smart people, Babel is outside, sitting on the curb of a busy street corner, near a bus stop. Her fuzzy jacket, while warm, isn't really nearly enough to protect a stationary person from the effects of the windy city's winter, so her teeth are chattering. She doesn't really notice. The only thing she's noticing at this point are the bodybeats of the people around her; if anyone's noticed the cold girl on the curb, they've left her well enough alone because one doesn't have to get close to hear her muttering to herself, or notice that when she looks at something she doesn't really see it.
