There's always a lot of things going on in Chicago at any given time. Anywhere you go, any neighbourhood, any hour, there will be something ~HAPPENING~.
For example, at the Conrad Hotel, Adelaide Hunt is packing her bags to head back to New York, and hoping very desperately that Martin got her voicemail asking him to come up so she could say good-bye. Daddy's sending her to France of all places, as a sort of casual social ambassador during some meetings between the Hunts and some French demon family, and she doesn't know when she'll be back.
Down in the basement, Dusty Baker (since it's too cold to go outside and play in the park or anything) is teaching herself a new piece on her cello. Her wings are out, to help with her speed, and she's got on a pretty silver rose ring in addition to her awesome mood ring. She really loves that ring.
In the Main Gauche, there are a few different people running around, all inside, given the chill. Becky Trapper is pacing around a sun room while Ferdinand plays fetch with himself and a tennis ball. She's muttering to herself, like she's practising a speech and doesn't think she's doing at all well, or that she should be giving the speech at all. She probably wouldn't mind distraction, as long as you're not Addie Hunt's younger cousin.
Ani Robinson has decided that she likes Chicago best out of the various cities she's visited, despite the cold, and is setting up a room for her and her sister, who is probably arriving any day now. The door's open, and she's quite cheerful. Feel free to notice the wall of guns and sharp things on display. She's quite fond of them all.
Last, but not least, of the Gauche residents around, also in her room with the door open, Tay Barnam has her little-used laptop out and - despite the fact that Vince is taking care of the searching - is doing various Google searches for "Alyssa Sutton". She hasn't found anything interesting so far.
Over at the Kashtta Tower, Annie Cartwright is in an empty room, glowing extremely brightly, her ID bracelet in her pocket. She's got a line of soda cans on the floor, and she's sitting opposite them, trying to knock them over with little beams of light that appear to be the same as her skin, in its current condition. She's still getting the hang of too weak (barely jostling the empty cans) and too strong (practically exploding them), but her aim's gotten pretty good.
Fiona Glennane is in the kitchen, making c4. Nothing more needs to be said on that front.
Will Tippin is in the library (which is slowly gaining books, though who knows if Will's actually the one getting them), having half of a bemused and energetic conversation about chess and girls. And how girls are like chess. Possibly he's getting dating tips from a chess player, but whoever it is, they're definitely dead.
And of course, Mat Wallace is curled up with his beating heart pillow. This time, however, he's curled up with it while actually doing something - sending an email, probably, given how much he's typing.
Mathias has apparently decided that Des' office needed a proper christening (of sorts), and has spent most of the day (thank god Des was OUT) papering the entire thing (walls, furniture, ceiling, and floor) with post-it notes. This was followed by calling Des to tell him that something urgent had come up and could they meet at his new office? The bitch of an ex-demon is currently camped out just inside a closet door, resisting the urge to smoke.
In the Prophet's complex (where he moved with Penny after the incident at the Christmas Ball), Dr. Horrible Billy Baxter is, for once, using his "powers" for good instead of evil, and is trying to rig a coffee maker that will make perfect coffee in less than a minute. Amazingly enough, he'll probably succeed, but he's in the testing phase still. Might want to watch out.
In a certain apartment complex geared towards wanderers and supernatural humans, Rose Tyler is in her kitchen (having braved the cold today, amazingly enough) cooking and half-dancing along with the radio. Curry's on the menu tonight, and she hopes John will like it. Cassandra is in the back of her head criticising her choice of music.
And over at the Casa del OT3, Maria Jackson is in the living room watching the telly and floating the remote control across the room while Donna Noble bakes biscuits in the kitchen. Possibly brownies as well. She had a sugar craving.
