Romana bought her the dress, what seems like ages ago, over her protests that she was never going to have a chance to wear it, and tonight... Well, she has the chance, but it's a kind of bittersweet occasion, just for that.
She's currently helping herself to some punch, and trying not to look too out of place. Yeah, she can dress up pretty. have her hair done up, be wearing makeup for once, but... She's an archangel, not a socialite.

For once, she actually looks pretty even if her dress is rather standard- white to match her wings with something of a Greecian style to it. The wings, in question are pressed to her back in the angel equivalent of a dog with their ears drawn flat against their skull.

It hurts a little, but since it's not an outright lie, she can pass it off as another grimace into her punch. "You one of the local archangels?"

She takes another sip of her punch, wondering if maybe if she thinks hard enough, it will become alcohol. "Interesting city to work in though, wouldn't you agree? If your brand of interesting involves explosions on a daily basis."
Hers doesn't. Well, okay, she thinks it's hilarious when the coffee shop explodes, but not so much when large branches of her organization just go boom.

In any case, he notices Elena looking uncomfortable, and wanders over to her, stopping at her side with barn owl wings pressed flat to his back - not least because they're large enough to get in the way a lot if he doesn't. "You'd think that of all the Firsts, at least Cyrus would know archangels don't exactly do this kind of party." He pauses, and glances over to her with a smile. "You look nice, though."
