And I can feel it coming in the air tonight...

And thus the Doctor pokes the Rift.

And thus the Rift responds everywhere. For the sake of this particular post, specifically the Kashtta.

At the very moment that the Doctor's prodding caused the Rift to react, somewhere in the tower's sub-basement, its Rift spits out a black duffel bag with so much force it slides across the floor, just missing hitting the opposite wall. There's silence for a moment and if someone were watching this, they might think that to be a little anticlimactic.

And then someone staggers through the opening, regains his balance, and takes one look around him, fingers on the trigger of a rather large Glock. The look on his face is not a happy one, but anyone who has ever met Jack Bristow would probably be well aware that the look on his face is rarely a happy one. At the moment, he's particularly incensed and you probably would be too if you were in the middle of a covert ops mission and suddenly got eaten by a Rift for a second time. Yes, Virginia, he has done this before and he hated it the first time and he's smart enough to notice immediately when it happens again. He wasn't even aware that could happen unless Team Physics (Weiss's nickname- Weiss is not as clever as he thinks he is) had another field day, and he's not betting that was the case here.

Just behind him, the Rift oscillates in a way that suggests it isn't quite finished presenting the Tower with new presents just yet and there's still more arrivals to come. It happens.
