It may be that Thane's figured out that Torchwood's been screwing with his journal, because when coordinates come they come not in the form of a locked entry but rather a sheet of paper wrapped around a javelin and flung through the front door of the Kashtta Tower. Thane is gone an instant later - don't bother looking for him - but the javening sails in a neat arc through the lobby windows, landing at an angle with its point embedded in the floor.
The paper uncurls itself, hanging from the javelin by a line of tape, displaying five different locations both in plain text and in coordinates:
The
Shedd Aquarium Atop the
cloud gate sculpture in Millennium Park
On the lower tiered roof of
35 East Wacker,
On a very specific turret of the
Chicago Water Tower,
And at the Coffee Shop. Yes. That one.
All areas with a hell of a lot of human civilian population. All areas which would afford Thane a clean shot at anyone trying to disassemble them.
There's a note on the bottom giving them a hard time limit: one hour, and any bombs which are set to go are are goin' off.
It's 17:13, dark outside, temperature sliding down toward freezing. Good luck, Torchwood.
