Chin up, a happy mask was never your best disguise...

The Tower never did feel like home the way the Hub did, or the Conrad, but at least it was familiar. Now, walking the halls and looking for something - just about anything - to do with herself, Tosh feels a bit out of place, like something changed while she was gone. Maybe it did. She pauses outside the control room, hovering uncertainly, and then walks by. Marshall will be in there, and she's almost certain she's not ready to look him in the eye.

On the steps of the Kashtta, there's an angel, who may or may not be sulking. Or maybe he's just extremely bored. Either way, Nate is on the front steps leading up to the door, with his wings pulled in for once, just... quietly watching the traffic outside. He can't move too far from the tower right now - fucking Thane, fucking ward - but he needed to get out. It doesn't help that the humans have got the heat turned up inside and he feels like he's melting in there.

A few blocks away, at the library, there's a thirteen-year-old bouncing around and trying to look inconspicuous while looking for a girl around her own age. Zoe and Maria probably should have mentioned what the other looked like before trying to meet up, but they'll be fine. If nothing else, Zoe still has her journal on her... assuming Maria has hers too...

Meanwhile, there's an archangel prowling the streets. Martin looks fairly innocuous, at a glance - pissed as hell, but nothing to worry about. Except that his wings are out, underneath a long leather coat, held tight to his back but enough to make a bulge in his coat, and he's got weapons concealed in every place it's possible to conceal a weapon. It's been a while since he's been able to really hunt, and just now, he is going all out. It's been years since he's hunted on his own, but that doesn't concern him. He's going to tear this demon apart with his bare hands if that's what it comes down to.
