Penny is carrying boxes of pamphlets. Three boxes to be exact. She's walking down a street in Chicago headed back to the Main Gauche with three boxes in her arms. It's a little difficult to navigate and even more difficult to see, but when she's put to a task, especially an important one, she gets it done.
Of course, it's more difficult trying to get it done without technically being a person, but- She works as a waitress now at a local diner and gets paid under the table so eventually she had the money and the resources to complete the task. Welcome pamphlets to the Rift! Now it's just a matter of getting them back to the Main Gauche and distributing them! That is if she doesn't get hit by a car first trying to cross the street at the wrong time.
Robin Rice is, also, on the sidewalks, but in an entirely different area of Chicago than Penny. A gorgeous accountant for the Conrad Hotel was freaking out. No one had heard from Ariel in a long time. A missing person report had been filed, but the police are a little too busy with the insanity that is Chicago to put proper attention into any of the hundreds of missing person reports that exist.
So Robin volunteered to look for Ariel personally, mostly, because he thinks if he returned triumphantly, the gorgeous accountant would sleep with him. And sex is just the distraction he needs right now. Unfortunately, the search for Ariel is rather halfhearted and pointless. It's not as if he could even begin to know where to look, but at least it gives him something to do.
Rusty Hunt is leaning against a 'Vote for Flagg' sign in the bad part of the city. He's just making himself available for his customers. Later he'll go to the club where someone's always looking for something and subtlety is not necessary, but for now he's just trying to sell his drugs and remain inconspicuous, which has never been hard for him to do (except when he's actually trying really hard for inconspicuous... then he's the most noticeable guy around).
And there is a kitten wandering into the Main Gauche. Luke's trying to remain unnoticed in the shadows. Shouldn't be too hard. He's tiny and even if he is noticed, as long as no one has the sudden urge to kill a kitten, he'll be fine. Mostly he's checking on people. Person. The Organization treats him well and are powerful enough to scare anyone who knows what's good for them away, but he'd still rather avoid anyone he worked for before Leona came along.
