In the fifth or so story of an abandoned, half-constructed high-rise, all is quiet but for the suffering of those chained there. It's been about like this for a while.
That unpleasant silence is shattered by a flash of blue-white light which resolves itself into two figures, the larger and topmost grabbing for any limbs he can find, the smaller and bottom shrieking and flailing and attempting a bite here and there, both of them reeking of pepper.
Dmitri Lang and John Thane have made their entrance, and quite an entrance it is.
Not quite two seconds after materialization Dmitri gets a taster into Thane's stomach and activates it, and Thane - still blind from the pepper spray, still snarling - makes a noise better suited to a wounded animal than something ostensibly human and seizes, involuntarily rolling off her and onto the ground, where two good heaves empty out his entire stomach contents. Dmitri rolls away, trying to get her balance and her bearing - she's never actually teleported, before, and this is not how she wanted to be introduced to it.
Never mind the fact that she still can't see, her pepper spray is out, her taser needs her to be right next to the big guy who knows she has it now, and she has no idea where she is...
