It's not like every devastating end brings a new beginning...

A cab pulls up in front of the Main Gauche, rather slowly and reluctantly as it gets close enough to see the twisted wreckage of the gates, a few scorch marks on the buildings and grounds... Gwen hands the driver a few bills and slides out of the back seat, eying the gates uncertainly for a second before she starts inside. She can deal with this. ( Read more... )

Noah, too, is in the halls, still gleeful after the events of the previous evening- what an introduction to the Gauche! And then he sees Logan, the only demon he really knows, although that Rakshasa... Jeremy... but Noah hadn't really gotten the chance to talk to him, because then had come the bloodshed.

And it had been thrilling.

"Miss Logan!" he calls out as respectfully as he can, which isn't very. Noah's not really one to respect people. He does sort of respect her, in an odd, twisted way.

He's strange like that.

"Noah!" she says brightly - the two of them are probably some of the few still pleased about what happened last night... but then, Logan was far enough away, still on the roof, from Eric that she didn't get hit with any of that Glaysa manipulation. "And how are you, darling?"

Noah somehow managed to miss out on the Glaysa manipulation as well, which honestly does not surprise the narration.

"I'm absolutely spiffy," he replies, the smirk/grin on his face widening. "Particularly after the events of last evening. Yourself?"

He can't help feeling giddy (in a very repressed way, of course,). He got to kill last night, and kill he did. He's still sort of riding on that high.

"I got to blow things up," she says with a grin. "I had a good night. And I assume you did too, huh?" She didn't really notice him down on the battlefield - mostly, she was paying attention to the angels, and sometimes Missy, who is always entertaining to watch. But he's still alive and uninjured, so she supposes he must have done well.

"Oh," Noah almost growls, "I had an excellent night."

And he did. He almost wishes he could go back to then, but there are other people, other jobs, other kills. Chicago's a big city. He'll find someone else. Hopefully several someones.

"So..." he sighs, looking down the hallway. "This is the Gauche." He breathes in and out slowly. The scent of blood is still there, still heavy, despite attempts to clean it, and it makes Noah tingle. He looks at Logan.

"I must thank you for introducing me to the place," he says, the smirk replacing a look of joy. "It appears to be as you described- perhaps more."

And that pleases Noah to no end.

"My pleasure," she purrs, with a fierce smile. "Granted, this place isn't usually quite so... exciting, but I guess every now and then we just get a really good night." And isn't Noah lucky, to have that happen so soon after he moved in? Maybe she should keep him around. (Like it's her choice.)

"Well, every now and then is quite a bit better than never ever," he says, his voice never changing from its low and almost violently seductive tone. "Besides, I tend to bring chaos with me wherever I go."

Because yes, Noah, that whole event last night? Your fault. Of course.

The boy's not the brightest lightbulb in the house, but perhaps he'll do.

Logan snorts a little, smile widening a little. "And you're not arrogant at all, are you?" But she thinks it's cute, so that's fine. Logan thinks a lot of weird things are cute. Like explosions.

"Not at all, milady," Noah says, a devilish grin on his face. Crazy little bastard.

"Still," he says slyly, "the First dies right after I arrive. Says something, doesn't it?"

He's mostly harmless. Okay, that's not true in the least. He's rather harmful. But he's kidding here. Sort of.

"I think it says you have good timing. Which is a positive in and of itself." She pauses a moment, and then starts off down the hall with a little bounce, clearly expecting her to follow her. It's just that Logan has trouble staying in one place for extended periods of time. "So, are you planning anything now, or just waiting to get lucky and stumble across something fun?"

Noah shrugs. "I suppose I'll take what I can get," he says over-dramatically with a largh sigh.

Oh Noah. Occasionally you are so very drama-queeny.

"Hm." Noah muses as he follows her like a little puppy. "I suppose I hadn't thought about it," he admits finally. "Though I suppose I shall have to go see how the wonderful residents of the city of Chicago are doing. If they're... scared enough."

He grins widely, revealing almost all of his teeth. It's a very disturbing grin, and you can almost feel the tension and power building. He likes to make sure people are scared, preferably by killing someone.
