She decides it might be okay to slip outside for once, because she misses the sunlight. But she knows if she does, she'll be reminded of Natasha and her brother's anger and...
Well, Rain was taking chances today. So when she sees Gladys with the sweets? She tries a smile. It's working, but it's tired.
"It smells wonderful."

"Take one, my dear," she says. "No, take two. Take as many as you want. I've got more than enough, and you need it."
She's not going to get into how she knows that. It doesn't matter. What matters is that Rain get something tasty and warm-feeling in her, to combat the dark. It's what Gladys does, and she does it well.

She doesn't meet Gladys' eyes, "Really? You're sure you don't mind?"
But at her enthusiasm, she decides on a cookie or two, her smile brightening a little. Not a significant amount, but more.

Her heart flies to her throat as Rain takes some. It feels so good to see people take them. Even better than the physical act of healing. It makes her feel like she's truly fixing people, and that's what she loves to do.
Cookies heal the things Band-Aids can't.

They give her a little more warmth, which is something she hasn't felt for a few weeks.
"Thank you, really." Her smile comes a little more naturally and she nibbles on the cookies a bit more. "I'm Rain, by the way."

She smiles even more broadly. "Nice to meet you, Rain. I'm Gladys." Just Gladys. She doesn't feel like she needs any more introduction.

She decides to nibble on the other cookie she snatched up once the first is well done with.
"Do you live here, too?" She might be asking a different question altogether as well. With things the way they are, coming right out and saying 'hey! I'm an angel!' might not exactly work.
In her mind, anyway.

She's not much into the whole, 'HAI I'M AN ANGEL' thing either.
"It's been a mess as of late," she comments, the smile still on her face. "But I'm sure you're very aware of that..."
